Blog Author: How long have you been a George Michael fan?
Lovely IV: I’ve been a fan since I
first saw Wham perform “Young Guns” on Top Of The Pops in 1982.
Lovely V: I’ve been a fan for 35 years. After I saw him perform "Freedom," at the age of 11, I knew that he was going to be a global superstar.

Blog Author: Does George Michael’s music receive frequent radio air time there?
Lovely IV: I think, it depends which
radio stations you listen to really. I often have Smooth Radio on and George
is played frequently.
Lovely V: George is played often on radio stations here.

Blog Author: Have there been any recent television programs, movies etc. that have featured his music?
Lovely IV: Nothing really much on television. I think only thing recently has been re-runs of Top Of The Pops showing Wham
Specials. We had George’s Freedom: The Documentary but other than that just rubbish tabloid
fodder documentaries on Channel 5, which I refuse to watch. I wish some of George’s concerts like: MTV Unplugged, Concert for Hope,
Symphonica would be shown.
Lovely V: Nothing recent on television.
Blog Author: Is his music relevant or popular among centennials there? (born 1996 +)
Lovely IV: In my opinion, George was such an inspiring singer/songwriter I think his music is relevant to all age groups but sadly I don’t think younger generations really appreciate it enough.
My kids have been listening to George since they were in the womb, think they came out singing his songs.
Lovely V: From what I’ve seen on social media there a quite a few people in the 20+ age range, which I love to see.
Blog Author: If, from the U.S.A please explain how your fan experience differs from your European counterparts.

Blog Author: What’s your favorite Wham! and/or George Michael song?
Lovely IV: It’s very difficult to pick out just one favourite Wham and/or George song but here goes ..
Wham - "I’m Your Man" and George- "A Different Corner".
Lovely V: I adore everything George wrote or covered but my all time favourite has to be "One More Try."
"One More Try"
Blog Author: How has Michael’s death personally impacted your life?
Blog Author: Do you feel that the needs of his fans have gone unrecognized or ignored by his family, Estate and or Representatives?
Lovely IV: I do have total respect for George’s family and I know from experience that grieving has no time limits but I really hope that one day that they will have the strength to do something to help his lovelies deal with this loss.
Lovely V: Yes, I feel that his fans have been ignored by his management/family. We and he deserve so much more.
Blog Author: What are your thoughts regarding the fan’s desire for some sort of permanent tribute site where fans can gather and pay their respect?
Lovely IV: Definitely not a Statue or Monument, not anywhere for flowers to be laid . That’s too much like a grave site. I would like to see a permanent foundation set up in his name to support all the charities he so generously gave to.
A building which housed all George memorabilia such as photos, videos, concert footage, interviews. A room for quiet reflection where lovelies could go to honour and celebrate the life of this irreplaceable man. All proceeds from entrance fees and donation areas inside could all go to George’s charitable trust.
Lovely V: I feel that a museum, statue and a tribute concert would be the best way to remember him.
Blog Author: How important is it to you that a formal tribute concert endorsed by the family be organized and be broadcast worldwide?
Lovely IV: I’m not sure how I feel about a tribute concert I’m not keen on watching someone else sing George’s songs.
Lovely V: It would mean a lot to me and other Lovelies too.

Blog Author: For you what is ‘it’ about George Michael that distinguished him from other successful artists?
Lovely IV: If I’m honest the first
thing that caught my attention, when I was 17, was how absolutely gorgeous he
was with the most beautiful voice. He soon became so much more than that to me. I remember his early interviews and how he came across as a genuinely
lovely humble man. I greatly admired him for promoting as well as supporting: charities or HIV/Aids causes with benefit concerts. He wasn’t afraid to speak out. I don’t think all the fame and fortune changed George’s values in life. He
was always an honest, intelligent, kind and generous man.
Lovely V: I first fell in love with his handsome face but then I realised that his voice was so smooth. Vocally no one then,or now can match his voice and he has the ability to write a perfect song.

Blog Author: How has Michael’s death personally impacted your life?
Lovely IV: I’ll never forget the
moment I found out George had passed, we’d been at a friends house for a
Christmas party and arrived home around 10:15 p.m . I received a
text from our friends saying, “I’m so sorry we’ve just heard about George
Michael“. I just thought it can’t be true and scrambled around for the
remote to turn the television on. Then I saw on the story on news: it felt like someone had punched me in the chest and I feel to my knees.
It was so heard to explain to my friends and family the grief I felt for this beautiful man whom I’d never met personally. The thought of never seeing George perform again or record new music was totally overwhelming. I actually joined a Facebook group to help me come to terms with my grief.
Lovely V: His death hit me really hard. He was a massive part of my life. I’ve lost a few family members over the years but losing George took a long time to get over ... I’m still grieving him today. I don’t think I will ever fully get over his death.

Lovely IV: I’m proud to say I’m one of George’s lovelies. I’m proud to say I loved a man who had great integrity, talent ,compassion, humanity, beauty and respect for others. He stood for everything that’s good in the world & it’s a colder place without him.
Lovely V: I’m proud to be known as a Lovely ... his fans meant so much to him.
